TalentAid publishes career-navigation information that can influence education, licensing and employment decisions. These standards explain how we select sources, review claims, disclose limitations and correct mistakes.

We explain what TalentAid does, what it does not do, and where you should verify an important decision with an official source.
Primary regulators, governments and official education sources take priority.
Advertising and affiliate relationships cannot purchase a factual or ranking advantage.
Material corrections are checked against the underlying structured record and source.
Source and evidence standard
TalentAid prefers the authority responsible for the fact: regulators for registration, apprenticeship authorities for trade rules, governments and Job Bank for labour-market information, and institutions for their own programs.
- Claims should link to a relevant authoritative source whenever practical.
- A secondary source is not presented as a regulator or government authority.
- Missing local information stays unverified instead of being replaced with a plausible generated answer.
- Provincial and territorial requirements are not assumed to be interchangeable.
Writing and review
Guides are written to answer a defined planning question and should identify their geographic scope, the nature of the evidence, and important limitations. Wage figures are labelled by unit and geography; outlooks are not described as job guarantees.
Public guides display a review date. High-impact licensing, registration and compulsory-trade claims should be rechecked when the responsible authority changes its requirements or when a scheduled review identifies stale information.
Corrections
When a potential error is identified, TalentAid checks the relevant source and the structured record that feeds public pages. A correction should update the underlying fact wherever it appears rather than patching only one article.
Material corrections should preserve the authoritative source and a new verification date. Minor spelling, formatting and broken-link repairs may be made without changing the meaning of the content.
Editorial independence
Advertisers, sponsors, institutions and affiliate partners cannot purchase a more favourable wage, outlook, licensing description, Career Signal or pathway rank. Commercial placements are labelled and kept visually separate from independent career information.
