Service terms

Terms of Use

These terms set the boundaries for using TalentAid. The short version: use TalentAid as a planning tool, verify high-impact decisions with the official authority, and do not submit information the service does not need.

Plain-language commitment

We explain what TalentAid does, what it does not do, and where you should verify an important decision with an official source.

TalentAid provides career-navigation information, not a guarantee of admission, licensing or employment.

Official regulators, institutions and apprenticeship authorities remain the source of truth for current requirements.

Do not submit medical records, financial credentials, identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Using TalentAid

By accessing or using TalentAid, you agree to use the service lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with the service, other users, data integrity or security. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the service.

TalentAid may update these terms as the service, business model and applicable requirements evolve. The current version is identified by the date above.

Career information—not professional advice

TalentAid provides general career, education, apprenticeship, labour-market and pathway information. It is not a regulator, admissions office, educational institution, apprenticeship authority, recruiter, staffing agency, lawyer, financial adviser, immigration adviser or healthcare provider.

Nothing on TalentAid guarantees admission, credit transfer, certification, registration, licensure, employment, salary, job availability, immigration status or a particular career outcome.

Verify important decisions

Career systems change. Before paying tuition, accepting a job, relocating, applying for registration or relying on a pathway requirement, verify the current rule with the relevant regulator, government, apprenticeship authority, certification body, institution, employer or other official source.

TalentAid's Methodology explains how we prioritize authoritative sources and show verification status.

Career Advisor and automated guidance

Career Advisor and other automated features are designed to help users navigate TalentAid's verified data and organize career questions. Automated responses can be incomplete, misunderstood or affected by limitations in the underlying data.

Do not use Career Advisor for medical, legal, financial or emergency advice. Do not enter diagnoses, treatment records, health-card numbers, Social Insurance Numbers, banking information, passwords, identity documents or other sensitive information that is not necessary for a career-navigation question.

Accounts and user responsibilities

  • Provide accurate account information and keep authentication credentials secure.
  • Use only accounts and information you are authorized to access.
  • Do not attempt to bypass access controls, scrape protected systems, introduce malicious code, overload the service or interfere with other users.
  • If a feature allows you to save or submit information, only provide information you have the right to provide.

Third-party services and links

TalentAid links to regulators, governments, institutions, employers and other third parties for verification and next steps. Those organizations control their own websites, applications, prices, admissions, hiring, service availability, terms and privacy practices. A link does not mean TalentAid guarantees or endorses every statement on the external site.

Advertising, sponsorships and affiliates

TalentAid may earn revenue from advertising, sponsored placements, affiliate relationships or referrals. Payment does not permit a commercial partner to alter verified wage data, regulation status, licensing requirements, labour-market data or TalentAid's independent pathway logic. Paid content is intended to be clearly distinguished from editorial career information.

Read the Advertising & Sponsorship Policy and Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Intellectual property and permitted use

TalentAid's original site design, explanatory content, compilation, branding and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Public facts and third-party source material remain subject to their own rights and terms. You may use TalentAid for personal career planning and ordinary educational reference, but you may not misrepresent TalentAid content as your own service, remove attribution from proprietary material, or use the service unlawfully.

Availability, corrections and limitations

TalentAid may modify, correct, suspend or discontinue features or content. We work to keep information accurate and source-linked, but we cannot promise that every record is complete, current, uninterrupted or error-free at every moment.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TalentAid is provided without guarantees of a particular result. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Applicable law and disputes

These terms are intended to operate alongside applicable Canadian federal and provincial or territorial law. A formal governing-law, venue and dispute-resolution clause should be finalized with qualified Canadian counsel once TalentAid's legal entity and principal business location are confirmed; TalentAid does not invent that information in this policy.
